The City of Antwerp carries out several surveys to measure travel behaviour. The residents' survey in 2022 showed, for the first time since measurements began, that bikes are used more frequently than cars for home/work journeys. The bike is also more frequently used for journeys to school and for leisure time and car drivers are continuing this downward trend. Finally, public transport is slowly gaining ground again after a dip during the coronavirus period.
